Try these tips to get more energy. They work and you’ll receive immediate dividends.
Exercise! Have a regular exercise program. This alone will help you get more energy. The more you exercise, the more energetic you are.
Don’t overdo it when it comes to exercise. Overtraining syndrome will only make you feel fatigued and worn down.

Eat a healthy, nutritious breakfast. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Take the time to sit and eat a good meal before heading off to work, school, etc.
If you sit down and eat a good breakfast, rather than grabbing a donut or pastry on the run, you will feel
better physically all day. We recommend that you eat oatmeal for breakfast most mornings. Unprocessed oatmeal
will not only lower your cholesterol, it will give you energy throughout the day (and help you lose weight).
Improve your diet. Cut out the unhealthy fats and sugars. It’s amazing how much better (and lighter) you feel when you drop fast food for awhile.
Cut back on fried foods. Try baked or microwaved chicken breasts in place of fried chicken and / or red meat.
Cut out as much sugar as you can. Sugar may give you a spike in energy, but your energy levels will drop sharply. The long-term negative effects of sugar are immense. Sugar is one of the worst enemies of a healthy body.
Substitute nuts (almonds, walnuts, etc.) for packaged snack foods. Almonds have been shown to increase energy production.

Consume alcohol in moderation. Given that alcohol is a depressant, after you come down off your high, you will feel wiped out. You don’t see many top athletic performances from anyone who is blitzed.
Try not to eat food a few hours before bedtime.
Get plenty of sleep. Sleep deprivation is perhaps the best way to feel sluggish, if that’s what you’re looking for. Not only do our bodies need sleep to fully recover, but our brains need sleep as well.
For fitness goals, sleep is critical because it gives our bodies precious recovery time. Muscles grow during recovery.
You will also have a release of natural human growth hormone (hgh) during deep sleep.

So get plenty of sleep to increase your energy during the daytime. But don’t oversleep, either.
Decrease your stress levels. The stress hormone, cortisol, will cause your body a lot of damage if there is too much of it in your system. High stress levels will zap your energy (in addition to increasing your risk of heart disease and cognitive impairment).

Avoid negative, toxic people. Negative people can drag us down, making us lose energy. Associate with positive, uplifting people. Associating with the wrong people can destroy much more than your energy stores – they can destroy your life.
You will see dramatic results in your energy levels when you start applying these tips. The more energy you have,
the better you will feel and the more you will accomplish.
