Which vitamins should I take?

We have gotten good results with these vitamin supplements (see vitamin list below). While there are vitamins in food, we take vitamin supplements to help correct any vitamin deficiencies and because we strongly believe they help create optimal health and stave off disease and premature aging.

There are many good vitamin shopes, and vitamin sources, but for discount vitamins and minerals, we highly recommend Swanson Vitamins. Swanson is a great source for mail order vitamins.

Swanson Vitamin also sells discount vitamins online. They are high quality vitamins. Don't let their inexpensive vitamin list throw you. Swanson sells some of the best vitamins.

Besides Swanson Vitamins, we recommend Nature Made vitamins. We've been taking them for years.

Other good vitamin stores and vitamin sources include:

Vitamin Water

Many people think drinking vitamin water is a good substitute for taking vitamin supplements. It's not only a poor substitute, vitamin water also has many calories in some cases. So if you're trying to lose weight, drinking some brands of vitamin water after working out might actually be putting calories back in your body that you just tried to work off.

These are the vitamin supplements we take on a daily basis-

Vitamin List - Daily Dosage

    First thing in the morning:

  • Superoxide Dismutase (SOD)...............
    We take 3 SODzyme tablets, which are sold by Life Extension Foundation (LEF).
    SOD protects against free radicals.

  • Early Morning (with breakfast):

  • Nature Made Multi Vitamin.........1 tablet

  • Nature Made Vitamin B Complex.....1 tablet

  • Swanson Vitamin C.................500 mg

  • Swanson Vitamin E.................400 iu

  • Swanson Selenium..................200 mcg

  • Midday:

  • Pycnogenol.............50 mg

  • Grapeseed Extract.....100 mg

  • At night:

  • Nature Made's Calcium Magnesium Zinc With Vitamin D.......1 tablet

  • Folic Acid......400 mcg

  • Swanson Vitamin B-12............1000 mcg

  • After Excercise:

  • Whey Protein Powder.....one serving (25 grams) of a high quality whey protein powder
    We use Swanson's Whey Protein Powder - it is vary inexpensive and it does not contain sugar.

  • We've had good results with these vitamin supplements. But be sure to check with your physician.
